Going through my pictures I found a folder from the Genesee Country Village and Museum, a great place to go to catch a glimpse of the past.
I decided to post this one today because of what my 9 year old daughter said about it. She told me it was her favorite leaf picture because it looks like someone trying to hide from Christ. It was so sweet.
I took this picture on the same Tennessee trip as the last post. This rock formation was at the resort we stayed in in Gatlinburg.
You can see a face, maybe an arm, and some bushy green hair. It was actually on the scavenger hunt that the resort provided for families to do.
When my family and I went on Tennessee for vacation we headed down to Sweetwater to check out the Lost Sea Adventure. We took the tour of the cave which has the largest underground sea know (they have no idea how large it actually is because they can't measure it all!). The pictures below were taken inside the cave. They were written on the cave walls/ceiling with the end of riffles from soldiers who were hiding out in the cave, waiting for their next orders. So, the dates written there are true. An early form of graffiti?
And here's their rations! The tins say, "Survival Crackers"
This picture is of an authentic moonshine still that was found.
Working through the multitude of pictures I have on my computer I came across these two taken at the Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg, TN with my family. The second one is my favorite, but I love how both photos incorporate my daughter (my oldest son is also in the first one) through reflection. A child intently watching the wonders of nature.
I have been working on a lot of pictures over the past week. Once I get enough done I will load them on here. I've forgotten how many photos I've taken over the past years that I still have yet to touch!
Welcome to my new website! PLEASE be patient as I continue to go through, work on, and upload all the pictures I have on my computer. You may notice category changes, links moved around, etc. I'm still trying to figure some things out, and am constantly coming up with different ideas!
This blog will be put to good use too (at least I think so). To start, let me tell you quickly about the pictures. The ones that are up now (and the ones I will be putting up shortly) were taken whenever I was out somewhere with my family, my husband, or just wandering through my backyard. I like taking a variety of pictures. I just can't seem to focus on one subject area! While I love taking nature shots, I also love structures such as buildings, the pier, bridges, signs, etc. Everything found around God's creation fascinates me, and I like to capture it through my camera lens.
I really hope you enjoy the photos. Eventually I will be moving on to a selling aspect, but that will take some time. BUT, if there's something you see that you like and want, let me know and we can work something out.
I want to use this blog to tell you about my pictures, places I've been, etc. I like personality in a website, and I hope it will interest you. Thanks for looking!
